The torre de Mesa Roldán it´s a tower built on the ranch of the Mesa de Roldán located in the municipality of Carboneras, province of Almería. The current tower is built on the ranch of the Mesa de Roldan, which was already known in 1497 being considered the most dangerous in the Sierra de Cabo de Gata it was the most dangerous because of the pirates but the actual tower was built in 1766, it was used to control the possible maritime invasions.Built with plastered stone, with reinforcements in corners of large regular ashlars. The base on which the tower or battery rises, protrudes approximately half a meter with respect to the general plane of the façade, also of irregular plastered floor and of a height of approximately one and a half meters.
